We stick to growing the Magnolias that can thrive on most soils instead of the varieties that only grow on acid ground. The build up to flowering can be seen even at leaf fall in the autumn as the flower buds shimmer in their velvety cases. The promise of spring is to be seen throughout the winter as the buds swell and become more pronounced. It is always best to leave the soil by a newly planted Magnolia completely fallow within a metre radius from the stem as they are surface rooting and benefit greatly from no other plant competition while establishing.

Species available: Magnolia kobus, Magnolia x loebneri Merril.

Our Sizes

The sizes of trees supplied is governed by the pot size they are grown in. The approximate sizes of the specimens will be determined by the species.

Medium Large Instant
A medium tree

A Medium tree will be supplied in a 45L or 65L container will be approximately 3 to 4 metres tall.

 A large tree

A Large tree will be supplied in a 85L or 100L container and will be approximately 4 to 5 metres tall.

 An instant tree

An Instant tree will be supplied in a 150L or larger container and will be approximately 5 to 7 metres tall.
