It was widely used in the Middle Ages to make chests because its pleasant smelling timber helped to keep the clothes sweet. In Britain, it is best to avoid cold exposed sites for this architecturally columnar tree but it is a splendid choice for more sheltered gardens. For those of you who have holidayed in Tuscany and Umbria this is the tree that defines their elegant landscape.

The sizes of trees supplied is governed by the pot size they are grown in. The approximate sizes of the specimens will be determined by the species.
